Environmental Box Flare Systems

Closed Top

Features:

  • 256 cubic foot 8’ X 8’ X 4’ rectangular container of 1/4” steel plate with 70,000 psi rated seam weld
  • Inlet and outlet lines flange connected lines of 8” steel pipe with check valve protection
  • Outlet line configurable to either vertical or horizontal position and extendable
  • Sloped tank bottom with recessed drain for maximum drain capability
  • Top mounted manway hatch for access for cleaning or inspection
  • Liquid level sensing signals liquid level at or above 18” above bottom of container
  • Auxiliary

Functions:

  • Container dimensions, shape, and flow patterns cause expansion and subsequent cooling of well Outflow fluids to separate liquids from gases
  • Relatively condensate free gasses promote cleaner burning and sustainable flare flame
  • Liquid level sensor indicates necessity for drainage
  • Flange mounted outlet allows for options for disposition of separated gasses: vertical configuration for attachment of 10’ or greater length flare stack or horizontal configuration for line connection to either a remotely located flare stack or gas compression system
  • Check valves on both inlet and outlet lines minimizes risk of back flow of either line fluid or flame front

Features:

  • 256 cubic foot 8’ x 8’ X 4’ open top container of 1/4” steel plate with integral frame providing system base
  • Separate 22 cubic foot expansion/separation chamber of schedule 40 pipe
  • 8” inlet and outlet flanged line connections
  • Expansion/separation tank outlets flow control protected by check valve; inlet line may have check valve installed at juncture with input flow line
  • Condensate liquid may be either drained into the open top container or routed by 1” line to alternative collection site

Functions:

  • Expansion/separation chamber promotes separation of gasses from the fluid inflow and delivery of those gasses to the disposal system
  • Flare stack may be removed and remotely located or be extended in height
  • Temporary storage site of condensate liquid optional to either outside or inside the environmental box flare system
